Panasonic Corporation of North America. PSC delivers content creation, collaboration,
information-sharing and decision-support solutions for customers in government,
healthcare and education, as well as a wide variety of commercial enterprises.
Prior to his role as President of PSC, Rance was President of Panasonic Computer
Solutions Company (PCSC), which supplied Toughbook® rugged mobile computing
solutions to Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies. PCSC was part
of a group of B2B focused divisions within Panasonic that were merged in April
2010 under Poehler to form PSC, which delivers a wide range of computing,
professional display, projection, HD video acquisition and production solutions.
Rance has thirty years of experience in the technology industry, including positions
at IBM and Toshiba America. He was among the founding members of PCSC in
1993 and over the course of his career has managed sales, marketing, channels,
engineering, product development, and service and support. Under his leadership,
PCSC became the leading U.S. supplier of rugged mobile solutions for both
enterprise and government, captured top market share in numerous vertical
markets, tripled its overall business and became the second largest company
as a division of Panasonic.
Rance’s leadership philosophy calls for a sharply focused business structure with a
non-bureaucratic policy that gives complete autonomy to his front-line management
team. As a result, he maintains a low cost structure and provides customers and
partners a flexible and responsive organization with which to do business.
Rance Poehler holds a B.S. in Computer Technology from Purdue University and
has completed U.S. and international executive development programs at Wharton,
Toshiba and Panasonic. He holds board positions with industry-related companies.
