Mikko Disini is Director, Product Marketing at Bytemobile, where he focuses on expanding the market opportunities for the company’s Smart CapacityTM solutions. He leads a team in scaling product and solutions marketing to drive successful sales outcomes among global wireless service providers. Prior to joining Bytemobile, Disini was at Cisco Systems, developing managed services opportunities for Borderless Networking and Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS).
Disini has 20 years’ experience in telecommunications as a senior business leader and consultant in strategic marketing, channel/partner marketing and new venture development. He has significant expertise in the mobile core, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), application delivery networking, and the social web, among other areas. While at TRUSTe, a leading privacy and trust seal provider, he built and deployed a successful behavioral advertising program. During his tenure at Ascend Communications, he developed and launched several products that reached market leadership positions globally. Disini started his career at GTE Corporation (now Verizon) and was part of the founding management team for Ascend Communications’ international division.
He has a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Materials Science (dual major) from Cornell University. He has also done graduate work in marketing at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
